Some of the distance learning MBA programs require just courses and seminars, others require an MBA thesis and others will require an MBA dissertation writing.

While it’s easy to understand what course and seminar requirements are,there may be a confusion between the MBA Thesis and the MBA Dissertation – they Are Not The Same Thing!

MBA Dissertation

The MBA Dissertation is a condensed single long project in which you integrate all you have learned in your particular courses. It servers much like a “written proof” that you have indeed learned the material and have understood it well enough to write about it on a major academic level.

MBA Thesis

A Typical MBA Degree Thesis is based upon:

  • The knowledge acquired during the MBA studies
  • A Research Project and its findings. The MBA research project should be specialized research themes
  • Other research and academic papers, business plans and case studies.

An MBA Thesis typically is more challenging and normally preferred by students who have academic inspirations.
